Application Process

The Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine application process for first-year and international applicants consists of two parts.

Online Application

TUSPM participates in the centralized processing service of the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine Application Service (AACPMAS). This service allows applicants (first-year and non-transfer students only) to complete a single set of forms for use at all of the colleges of podiatric medicine to which they apply. Be sure to review the AACPMAS website for valuable information.

Application Materials

In addition to the AACPMAS application, the following materials are required.

  1. Official test scores. Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) Admissions Test released to AACPMAS. We recommend that you take the standardized exam before February of the entering year, however, we will accept exam results through June of the entering year. An acceptable score from the DAT or MCAT is required. An exam taken more than three years prior to the beginning of the application cycle is not acceptable. Recently, the MCAT total scores of accepted applicants have averaged 495.

  2. Official transcripts from all colleges attended should be sent immediately to the College's application service.

  3. Recommendation: Composite a letter of recommendation from a Pre-Health Advisory Committee, two letters from science faculty, and a letter from a podiatric physician.

Support Credentials

TUSPM participates in Interfolio and Virtual Evals. Students can utilize either of these services or have the author submit up to three letters of recommendation directly to the application service and/or mail documents directly to TUSPM.
