The Department of Podiatric Biomechanics consists of highly trained clinicians and scholars who specialize in the biomechanics of the lower extremity. The conservative management of disorders affecting the foot and ankle is a departmental focus both clinically and in our research. We utilize innovative techniques in our Gait Lab to study foot structure, function, and rehabilitation. As well, our physicians specialize in the fabrication of custom orthoses and non-surgical treatment modalities for all foot and ankle conditions. Our department includes board-certified specialists in multiple areas including Podiatry, Pedorthics, and Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Working in conjunction with the Departments of Medicine and Surgery we assist in patient care at the Foot and Ankle Institute as well as Academic and Clinical student training.
